How to Join: Auditions
BTOCT is a written-only elimination-style bracket tournament and uses standard audition practices to pick the official roster. Please read and become familiar with what is required in order to audition. Deadline: May 12th 2025

Audition Requirements
Make an account on The Archives of Thraelos, create your character[s] page[s] and your creator page
- Create a page for the character[s] being entered
- Follow these instructions on how
- A visual reference image is not required, but in lieu of one, you should make up for it in extensive descriptions of the character visuals
- You may draw your own visual ref or commission someone to
- Picrew, Heroforge, and all other F2U (Free To Use) assets are allowed for visual ref
- YOU MAY NOT USE GENERATIVE AI IN ANY FORM
- Create a page for yourself (or you and your partner if you are a team)
- Follow these instructions on how
- Make sure you link between your creator page and your character[s] page[s]
Within your audition entry, you MUST meet these requirements:
- Your character[s] must have found their way up to The Bifrost Terminal
- The details are up to you and your imagination
- Kazuya is not an option, however
- Your character[s] must be LOCKED IN to The Bifrost Terminal within your entry, as per the provided official scene
- Consider this provided scene canon, but the details pertaining to your character[s] and how your character behaves, perceives, and thinks throughout is up to you
Word count maximum limit: approximately 25,000
You must submit everything through the official submission form before the deadline-- May 12th 2025 23:59:59 EST-- to be considered
Audition Rules
- GenAI, in any form at all, is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
- Anyone caught utilizing generative AI for any portion of their work in BTOCT will be promptly removed and banned from any future ThraelosVerse participation
- The work must be primarily text-based
- You can create visual art or non-text supplementary aspects to add to your entries, however the story as a whole must be complete within, and able to be followed within, text format
- You will be judged only on the prose/text portion, so be sure to focus on that
- Format, is up to you, but keep the text/prose as the focus in mind
- The audition entry must be a “complete” work
- Auditions with incomplete story will not be accepted– do not turn in WIPs (Works In Progress) as they will be automatically rejected
- Story must be able to be followed from beginning to end, even if unpolished (bare bones plot point lists will not be accepted)-- remember: finished, not perfect
- Must all be submitted via the official submission form before deadline-- May 12th 2025 23:59:59 EST-- or the audition will not be considered
- Must be your original work
